Pirate Weekend at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire!

Every year, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale puts on a Pirate Weekend—and if you're even slightly pirate-curious, it's a must. My friends and I try to go to the Faire annually. This year, we specifically went on Saturday during Pirate Weekend decked out in our best scalawag style. While it was a more laid-back visit than usual, we still had a blast. Picture this: three wenches and a witch, frolicking through the faire, cracking each other up, and living our best (chaotic) pirate lives.

We didn’t hit all the specialty pirate programming this time around, but now that I know how much they offer on theme weekends, I’m making a checklist for next year. There’s a group pirate photo at the main stage, pirate trivia (um, yes please), and even a treasure hunt—which I’m absolutely not missing again. I also have yet to experience the pub crawl, but let’s be honest… a wandering tour of ale and antics with a bunch of rowdy pirates? That sounds right up my alley.
So while this year’s visit was super chill, it was the perfect reset—a reminder of how fun it is to gather your crew, throw on something ridiculous, and play for a day. Honestly? One of our favorite things to do is fill our steins with some bubbles, find a shady spot on the grass, and lounge while we people watch. The faire is always filled with colorful characters, creative costumes, and endless laughs.

Here's a fun little clip from the day, with more pirate adventures from Ren Faire and other outings soon to come on the YouTube channel!
Good Girls Make Bad Pirates....
Whether you’re a hardcore ren faire regular or just dipping your toes in the grog, Pirate Weekend is a solid pick for anyone with a love of costumes, pirate culture, and adventure.
I’ll be back next year—this time with treasure map in hand. 🏴☠️
